This is MobiDevDay’s third year. MobiDevDay is a polyglot software developer conference dedicated entirely to Mobile. The goal of MobiDevDay is to introduce and educate Michigan’s software developers about the technologies and opportunities that exist in this growing industry.

The Mission

The DetroitDevDays mission is to empower and champion a software developer community in the Detroit area that can be regarded as the best in the world. DevDays educate and unite our Software Developer community with inclusive, accessible and affordable events and conferences. The events are typically held on Saturdays so we do not conflict with attendee work schedules. The cost to attend is kept as low as possible, so developers of all pay scales can afford a ticket.

DevDay attendees are Software Developers and Software Architects from Michigan, Ohio, Ontario and from as far as Illinois who are passionate enough about what they do to spend their Saturday, absorbing new technologies and networking with like-minded professionals.

Many in the Detroit area are not in a position to attend conferences in California, Las Vegas or New York so; DevDays are way to bring great speakers and workshops to them.

Past DevDay attendees have represented organizations like Compuware, Quicken Loans, ePrize, Pillar, Chrysler, GM, Ford, Comerica, Flagstar, Wayne State, UofM, MSU and many more.

Thank you to everyone who made 1DevDay 2012 such a huge success. There were over 600 attendees at 1DevDay this year. We had a great line-up of Keynotes and Speakers, and an awesome group of volunteers that kept the day moving along. The Cobo Center people were wonderful and we hope to try out Cobo’s newly renovated areas in 2013.

A special thank you goes out to Quicken Loans. Quicken supported our Software Developer Conference from day one. Without their support 1DevDay 2012 would not have been such a success.

We were very fortunate to have two local photographers volunteer to document 1DevDay at Cobo Center. They have been uploading photos as they are available.
